The Challenge: Sarah wanted to take one of her illustrations and make the interactive to then embed on her website. The interaction should be reasonably simple, friendly and fit the tone of her illustrations which are aimed for a young audience.

The Solution: I provided Sarah with an interactive version of one of her many cat illustrations. I animated it so that the eyes would follow the mouse whenever the mouse was in the hit zone. I added a few extra animations for further polish, this was to get its tail waving, and to animate its body with the eyes so its whole body would follow the mouse.

The Process: I created this little project within Rive, created a mesh for the body of the cat, and rigged up the eyes and face elements. Luckily Sarah had separated her illustration into layers so it was very easy to set up.

The Results: The result is below.
