Diegetic wipes

Description:

A transition that has a build of movement, objects that are part of the scene and anything else that can or doesn’t need to be overlaid. Usually works in one motion, either left, right, up or down. But the movement has to carry on through each scene. If it is going left, the whole movement in the two scenes should also be left.

Add diegetic sound effects for extra umph.

Use: Use this as a very clever but subtle way to seamlessly move from one scene to the next. Usually something is overlaid to hide the seam from one scene to the next. Can be used to keep a transition thematically consistent. If this is pulled off correctly, a video will feel polished and stylish.
