Description:
Projection mapping is when your video content is projected onto a building or structure to make it look like the content itself is mapped onto it, hence the name. It is largely associated with event production, but has quite a few other uses that are experience driven. It is becoming far more common in theme parks now as it is a way of showing content to a group of people all at once like a cinema. A lot of the techniques involved are very different to typical motion graphics because you’re not building your footage for a screen, you’re building it for a surface, there are bumps and cracks and different colours, so the whole process although technically is quite similar, there are some challenges faced when producing content like this. A lot of the content you will produce will have forced perspective.

Use: se this as part of an immersive experience. It could be a show, a theme park ride, a cruise ship, you name it, as long as there's an audience, this is a possibility. Just watch out for the budget, it’s not cheap.
