Description:
Animation boil is a chaotic way of animating the outlines of an object or character so they're different every frame. Add some turbulence to your objects to give them an effect that makes them look like they’re boiling. Then lower the frame rate of the boil down so it’s every 4 frames or so, and you have yourself a decent boil effect. Makes it look like you’ve animated on 2’s or 3’s instead of 1’s and gives it that handmade rustic kind of feel, it can also be very chaotic.
Use: Use this to build on hand drawn effects and push the style a slight bit further. It’s a very cheap way to get something to feel decent without having to do a huge amount of work. Though it is worth avoiding this for certain audiences as they tend to think the video is lagging.
