Some films and television shows have intro sequences. These use a large variety of techniques of both storytelling and motion graphics. Mainly fitting into thematic element of the film. Some are stupidly simple, but others are complex. Titles are used throughout, and sometimes they’re even animated or part of the scene itself. It will touch upon themes within the film but will not give away any of the plot really.
Casino Royale (and James Bond in general) is defo one of the more stand and memorable ones from 2006. But there are others too. With Netflix and other streaming platforms there came a range of new modern title sequences that were mainly long sweeping shots of abstract elements of either the title or parts of the show, such as stranger things and Daredevil, and don’t forget Game of Thrones.
Use: Used to shut the audience up and tell them this is the film, watch the film and enjoy the pretties that we have put together, look at the pretties they is pretty.
