Description:
When there is fog in the scene and you shine a light through it which gives a light beam, also works well with shadows and lots of layers which then block out the light beams so you can see them. Don’t overdo it, when the fog is too heavy you can’t see the subject. Balance between subtly of the light lines and the obscurity of the subject. When done correctly it looks minted, specially when there is animation and it is used as part of a reveal.
Use: Use this as a stylistic way to show off light, it works well with 80’s feelings and moody scenes where they would be foggy or misty. Also use this on opening doors of light, because it looks cool.
